سمینار هفته آینده را آقای علیرضا مولایی نژاد از پژوهشکده نجوم پژوهشگاه دانش های بنیادی IPM برگزار خواهند کرد. عنوان و چکیدهٔ سمینار ایشان به شرح زیر است:

Title:

 طیف سنج فیبری چند جسمی با میدان دید وسیع

(AF2/WYFFOS: A Wide Field, Multi-objects, Fiber Spectrograph)

Abstract:

Multiplexed spectrographs on medium-class telescopes, with their large fields-of-view play a key role to the feature of Observational astronomy and Cosmology.

We describe the technical aspect of AF2 (Multi-wavelength, fiber spectrograph mounted on primary focus of 4.2 m William Herschel Telescope “WHT”) and a program for enhancements of AF2. This instalment will allow WHT to remain competitive until the proposed new generation of wide-field fiber spectrograph, WEAVE, begins operations on the WHT in 2016.

Part of this Enhancement is dedicated to design an automatic data reduction/calibration and Analysis pipeline for AF2 multi-fiber spectrograph, which has been done in School of Astronomy, IPM, Iran, during 2013.
