Abstract: Our current understanding of the universe is founded upon statistical analyses of cosmological observables, such as the large-scale structure of galaxies, the cosmic microwave background, and the Hubble diagram of distant type Ia supernovae. In this talk, I will give a brief introduction on artificial neural networks and the importance of systematics mitigation for upcoming galaxy surveys such as the Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI). Then, I will present our mitigation methodology and its application on the seventh release of data from the Dark Energy Camera Legacy Survey (DECaLS).
