سمینار این هفته را خانم ساره عطایی  از پژوهشکده نجوم پژوهشگاه دانش های بنیادی IPM برگزار خواهند کرد. عنوان و چکیدهٔ سمینار ایشان به شرح زیر است:

گذر قرص ها: قرص های پیش سیاره غیر معمول

(Transitional discs: protoplanetary discs with unusual features)

 

Abstract:
Transitional discs are observationally defined as protoplanetary discs with significant dips in micrometer wavelengths. The theoretical explanation for these unusual objects is a disc with an inner hole. How these holes are created, is one of many unanswered questions in planet formation theory. Dust settling, dynamical clearing and photo-evaporation are three possible mechanisms that are able to produce such holes. However, none of them can explain the transitional disc alone. Recent images unveiled that asymmetric structures are common features in transitional discs. We tried to explain these asymmetries by dynamical interaction between the disc and a massive planet and presented a rule to distinguish a vortex from an eccentric disc.
