(The study of strong lesning data in the context of non-local Gravity)
(White Dwarfs- Neutron Stars)
Abstract of Seminar 1: What dark matter exactly is, is one of the most important problems in cosmology. In recent years some theories such as Modify Gravity have tried to explain dark matter. We consider Mashhonian non local gravity and compare its predictions with observational data of rotation curves of galaxies and strong gravitational lensing (CASTLEs). In this talk, at first (upcoming Sunday) I will review the theory of nonlocal gravity. On next Sunday I will investigate the results.
Abstract of Seminar 2: Compact objects: white dwarfs, neutron stars and black holes are ”born” when normal stars ”die”, that is when most of their nuclear fuel has been consumed. All three species of compact objects differ from normal stars in two fundamental ways. First, since they do not burn nuclear fuel, they cannot support themselves against gravitational collapse by generating thermal pressure. The second characteristic distinguishing compact objects from normal stars is their exceedingly small size, so they have bigger density and stronger surface gravitational field. In this short talk, white dwarfs and neutron stars mass-radius, equilibrium, stability, rotation, pressure supporting against gravitational collapse, cooling of them and some nuclear reactions that can happen inside them may be discussed.
